The group and its principals have a long tradition of tailoring vessels to meet customer requirements and is prepared to provide project-specific vessels for all end-user needs.
Caspian Mainport Ltd’s first project was the conversion of flat-top barges into zero-discharge environmentally-secure oil-based mud cuttings for transport in the North Caspian.
This project was delivered on time and budget despite less than three months from contract signing to barge completion and less than two months in the shipyard turning steel plate into integrated cuttings barges.
Five years ago we acquired a modern utility vessel which was converted in-house into a state-of-the art UK Class B Emergency Rescue and Recovery Vessel.
For newbuilding vessel requirements, CMI and its principals have a long history of building new ships for specific projects and we are now building the world’s first self-propelled air cushion barge.
Over 25 ships have been ordered and built for Caspian operations ranging from North Sea style PSV’s to fast crew boats, ice-class multi-role supply ice-breakers to smaller tugs and barges.
More recently through a Singapore joint-venture CMI can now offer newbuildings on lease, charter or with hybrid arrangements for BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) and can offer two newbuilding 80 ton bollard pull ASD Escort Tugs.
The CMI Group is happy to discuss all vessel requirements including newbuildings or conversion. Please contact us.
