Following purchase earlier this year, the vessels have now completed their 10 year dry docking and special surveys at Walvis Bay. DP trials have also been completed and vessels have now joined our operational fleet.
We are pleased to announce that we have agreed the purchase of a new DP2 AHTS of 85 ton bollard pull that has just been completed at Yuexin Shipyard in China. The vessel will be delivered at the end of May and will be operated on a worldwide basis. This is CMI’s first newbuilding and will be the biggest vessel in the fleet.
After nine years in the Caspian, our ultra shallow draft ice class tug CM Wulf has now been sold to Russian interests for work in Arctic Ports in the North of Russia. We wish her good luck on her long voyage North.
CMI purchased this vessel in 2008 and she has traded successfully in the Caspian for the last nine years. We are pleased to advise that the vessel has been sold to Russian interests for further trading.
We announce the resignation of George Macleod, one of our founder Directors. George was involved from the earliest days of CMI and has contributed significantly to its development.
George will be leaving within the next month during which time a full handover will take place.
