Today has been a busy day for the CMI Offshore with activity in the following locations:

Singapore
Departure of the group’s two newbuilding 65 ton bollard pull ASD escort tugs (Leo and Lily) in transit to Venezuela to commence port operations for PDVSA

Dubai
Acquisition of Shoalbuster Akela tbr CM Kurik. This vessel will be loaded on board a cargo ship for transit to Istanbul where towing pins are to be fitted at the same time as the vessel is repainted in the group’s colours and the Russian flag is raised. The vessel will then transit for commencement of operations on the Filanovsky field in the Russian Sector Caspain Sea. .

Confirmation of selection of Ocean Tern and CM Service to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 pollution response and Standby Vessel support for 2013 CMOC Shell Pearls drilling campaign

Astrakhan
Start-up of our new Astrakhan-based operations through CMI Alpha Offshore LLC, a 100% owned Russian subsidiary of the CMI Offshore Group, and opening of our office to support vessel operations and Russian flag tonnage for the Filanovsky oilfield development.
